DESCRIPTION
Carl Jung used the ancient practice of alchemy as the basis for his own theory of individuation. In particular, he defines the 'black work' in psychological terms as "a moment of maximum despair, that is a prerequisite to personal development". Alchemically, the black work involves burning and dissolving.
A performance-to-camera, the work raises questions about the place of magick in the 21st Century. How far are we willing to suspend disbelief in an age of CGI and misinformation?
